The Port Joli Community Association hosted Laura Ferguson (PhD.Biology) on the afternoon of Saturday, October 18, 2025. Laura is professor at Acadia University, specializing in mosquito surveillance, invasive species and new diseases.
The session was well attended by approximately 20 guests who really wanted to just talk about ticks. The explosion of tiny deer ticks year round and Lyme Disease makes it a popular topic.
